Expressive Impressionism
Diego
This was an experiment, an idea I had of painting an image my mother painted many years ago. Hers was based upon a photo in an old National Geographic book called Indians of the Americas. My mother nailed his facial image better than I did; I am still learning how to do this effectively.
Parting Words of the Centaur
Patterns of a lifeline in a palm.
We shook hands as
the panorama surged around us.
Luego, el hombre duro me dijo,
"Niño, debes montar caballos."
The horizon colored
the background
an iridescent haze,
changing.
